I've seen a few movies/books that touch on this, usually in a catastrophic manner, and it got me thinking. If something happened, and my location becomes say 'equatorial' How would my preps fare, and what would I be lacking in.
Needless to say, I would have to either sell my snowmobiles or mod them to run on top of water... lol, but more importantly, all the time and effort I have put into winter preps, clothes/vehicles/shelter would all be moot.
I could also see my water needs changing dramatically. Currently most running water around is potable without treating, except in the dead heat of the summer. Given sustained high temps, I am pretty sure the once clean water would be swarming with disease, therefore, I don't think my water treatment would be suffice (might need to buy a couple more kat filters anyways) I can get used to and enjoy working in the heat, but my wife would need a steady supply of sunscreen just to survive, and we would be lacking there.
I think most of my seeds would be suffice, even though they are cold tolerent, they do like the dog days of summer just fine. I'm sure I am missing more, perhaps some of our southern folk can add...
How about you folk? What changes are you and are you not preparred for?
Save the -10000F and +10000F scenarios that cause you to instantly freeze solid and shatter or turn to dust like a vampire in the sun; just a significant 'change' for better, and for worse.
