I ended up ordering a regulator for the 1# bottles, and a hose for the refillable tanks
You can also get a quasi-legal filler for the 1# bottles from the tanks, http://www.amazon.com/Shnozzle-SAFES...H2P75JZWN8T26D

quasi-legal because the 1# bottles are not supposed to be refilled and transported

and I like the pole I can attach to the big tanks and run hoses off of, with a propane lantern on the top:

Parts are in. I'll have to test them out later today.

I'll keep that filler in mind, Fidel.

annnddd I'm happy to say it works. I don't have any 1# bottles on hand at the moment, but the adapter to a 20# went great.

Just an FYI for all of us that use Coleman Fuel or white gas appliances:
Usually, the place you bought it from says you cannot return it if it has ever had fuel in it. Fat lot of good that does you when you fill up your brand new stove and it leaks. BEFORE you fill it up with fuel, fill it with water. Plain old H2O. Pressurize it and check for leaks. If it has a leak, completely dry it out and return it. I wont smell like gas so you cannot be refused. If you got no leaks, drain and dry it out, use normally.
They say that the cockroaches will be the last creature alive on this earth.
I intend on being the last person alive still stomping cockroaches.

if you did put fuel in and had to return it, just leave the tank uncapped and the valves open. in a couple days, there will be no smell.
